October 19 – 23

UPDATED: Intermediate boys volleyball tournament at BCSS is Thursday October 22, 3:15 to 7:30 pm.

Autumn is here
It’s hard to believe the first day of Autumn has come and gone.  Along with the beautiful red and orange leaves comes cooler windier days.  For some Parkview families this may be the first experience of a cooler season so it is very important to send children dressed appropriately for the weather.   Students are expected to spend more than 70 minutes daily outdoors.  We want all students to feel comfortable and warm while playing sports and socializing with friends.  Please visit Health Canada for more information on weather appropriate dressing.

Is your child absent from school?
There are many reasons your child may be absent from school, such as vacations, medical appointments, special events and illness. As part of the safe arrivals program in York region schools, the office needs to be notified when your child is not at school.  The office will verify each student’s absence first thing in the morning.  If a student is not in class and a message has not been left by a parent or guardian, we will be contacting the parents.  If we cannot locate you or your child, we will notify the police for safety reasons.  To avoid unnecessary emergencies, please notify the school at 905 477-2172 or through your child’s homeroom teacher as soon as possible if your child is absent.
