Flu Season
We are in the midst of a flu season. To stay healthy this flu season:

  • Get vaccinated against the flu, its not too late
  • Wash your hands often
  • Avoid touching your eyes and face
  • Do not share personal items such as drinking cups
  • Cover your cough or sneeze
  • Do fist bump instead of shaking handssneeze-512

If you are sick with flu like symptoms, stay home and away from others (except to go to the doctor) until 24 hours after your fever is gone. Please remember to notify the office before 8:30 a.m. if your child is not coming to school.

Grade 8 Updates

  1. Please hand in Bottle Drive money as soon as possible to the home room teacher.
  2. Friendly reminder that the first instalment of $100.00 for the Grade 8 Grad trip is due on Monday, January 18th.
  3. Next Grade 8 Grad meeting is on Tuesday, January 26th at 7:00pm in the School Library.

Grade 8 Unionville High School Guidance Visit
The guidance department from Unionville High School will be coming to Parkview to discuss course selection and diploma requirements and about high school transition. All grade 8 students will be part of the presentation regardless of the high school they will be attending in the fall. The presentation will be in the library from 1:20 – 2:30.

Primary Intramural Floor Hockey
Ongoing starting next week. Days of the cycle TBA (to be decided on Friday). Grades 1, 2, 3 have signed up and have been put on teams. Athletic Cabinet (intermediate) to support. Likely twice a cycle at am or lunch recesses.

  • Junior co-ed volleyball team at the Lincoln Alexander invitational volleyball tournament.
  • Practice for all actors and actresses in the Junior Concert in Ms. DeMorest’s room. Please bring your scripts!

Thursday January 21:

  • Unionville High School Guidance Visit

Friday January 22:

  • Hot Lunch|Pizza Day
  • Arts Unionville Auditions: January 22nd – 28th, 2016
