Kindergarten Registration Started January 20, 2017
Kindergarten registration commenced on January 20, 2017 for the 2017-18 school year. Registration forms are available on YRDSB’s website: www.yrdsb.ca. Children who turn four or five years old during 2017, live within the school boundary and whose parents are public school tax supporters will be eligible to register for kindergarten. A kindergarten information session for parents is being planned for this spring. For more information please visit the YRDSB website or Parkview.
French Immersion Registration for Students in Senior Kindergarten
FI registration is from January 20, 2017 until February 10th, 2017. Parents or guardians of Senior Kindergarten students entering Grade 1 in 2017, and wishing to enrol in the FI Program, can visit or call the school office and request an Office Index Card – short version. The Office Index Card must be signed by the principal of the home school. Parents or guardians then take this form, along with one piece of identification showing their address to the designated FI program location to register between January 20 and February 10, 2017. This eliminates the need to provide duplicate enrollment information or to pre-register.
Intermediate Overnight Trips – Grade 8 Info Night Change
Our Grade 7 trip will be on Feb 15, 16 and 17th to Lake St. George. The cost will be $180 per student. The information night for this trip will be on Thursday January 26 at 6PM at Parkview PS.
Our Grade 8 trip will be on May 3, 4th and 5th to Ottawa and Montreal. The cost will be $500 per student. The information night for this trip has been changed to Tuesday February 7th at 6:00PM. If you are unable to attend this evening information will be sent home with your grade 8 student on February 8th.
Robotics Club
Robotics club will be open for intermediates on every Day 5 at lunch recess in the library.If you are interested in joining the club, please see Ms. Kim after school in Portable 1. First meeting will be on Jan. 23rd.
Senior Girls Basketball
Congratulations to the girls who earned a spot on the Sr. Girls’ Basketball team! Notices have been sent home regarding the season schedule. Our Area Tournament will take place on Monday February 13th (location yet to be confirmed).
