Snack Program

The snack program is currently providing more than 600 snacks per week to students. The program is working a bit differently than last year; teachers are managing that snacks come into classrooms on an as-needed basis. On any given day, a variety of snacks such as muffins, scones, fresh fruit or vegetables, cheese, yoghurt and granola bars are available. If your child would like to make use of the program, they should talk with their teacher so that snacks can be provided. The program is open to everyone!

 

Stand Up Against Bullying February 22 is Pink Shirt Day

An anti-bullying awareness campaign that began in support of one bullied teenager in Nova Scotia. Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes and over the internet. ELL Parent Tea Wednesday February 22nd  11:00 am to 12:00 pm

TOPICS THAT WILL BE COVERED:

  • What does ELL mean?
  • How are ELLs leveled?
  • What support models are provided at school?
  • Who receives ESL support?
  • How do I make sense of my child’s report card?
  • What support can I provide my child at home?

Intermediate Girls Dance Team Auditions – Wednesday February 22nd

Grade 7 and 8 girls are invited to audition for the intermediate dance team at 12:40 pm who will be performing at Arts Night

 

Growing Success Parent Workshop (Cantonese and Mandarin)

We have attached the flyer for an upcoming parent workshop (Cantonese and Mandarin) on “Growing Success: Understanding the assessment, evaluation, and reporting process in order to support your child’s education”. The workshop will be offered at the Markham South Welcome Centre on Feb 28 from 6:00-8:00pm.
