Safety… safety… safety…

We have had a wonderful first week back at Parkview… getting to know our new Panthers and reconnecting with our returning ones!

A gentle reminder to please review the startup packages your child(ren) brought home. Please return all forms to the school by Monday, September 11.

If your child has any allergies/medical needs, please ensure that you fill out the Emergency Health Care package and return it as soon as possible.

Lunches may be dropped off at the lunch table which is located in the main foyer. We are respectfully asking parents /guardians/ caregivers to support us with ensuring the safety all our children by exiting the building once lunches have been dropped. If you require further communication with your child at lunch, you are welcome to wait (by the lunch table near the office) without blocking the main entrance or library doors. This will allow our front door to remain closed and accessible, which will ensure the safety of all our students.

Reminder to all parents of our responsibility to ensure the safety of all of our students. We ask that parents do not enter the school parking lot near our dismissal time (between 2:45pm – 3:15pm). We ask that parents drive slowly, cautiously, as they approach our school property. We request that all parents are cognizant of the flow of traffic and yield to the side, safely, when waiting for your child.

We would like to remind all of our families of our dismissal routines. Parents / guardians are asked to meet their child at their designated bus stop on time. We also ask that parents who are at the school to pick up their child please have patience as we dismiss and account for all of our little kiddies.

Next week, our grade 2 and 4 students will be visiting Milne – one of York Region District School Boards outdoor learning centres. Both our students and staff are excited as it is always a fun adventure and learning activity for all of us.

  • Grade 2s will be going on Monday or Tuesday
  • Grade 4s will be going on Wednesday or Thursday

Please make sure you send your child dressed appropriately for the weather. We will be outside for most of the day.
