Parkview is pleased to announce that we will be using an online process through Edsby to book meetings with teachers. Edsby is an intuitive, cloud-based platform that will allow families to easily reserve times to meet with their child’s teachers. YRDSB in partnership with Edsby have created a secure platform that protects the privacy of information for our YRDSB families. Families will need to create an Edsby account to access the online appointment scheduler for their child’s teachers for parent teacher interviews. Only families who create an Edsby account prior to the schedule being opened will have access. You should have received an email / invitation with instructions on how to create an Edsby account. If you do not see the email, please check your junk mail folder to ensure you do not miss this opportunity. It is very important that you remember your login and password for this site, as it is difficult to retrieve this information in the future. Check out the CBC Fan Choice book contest. Students get an opportunity to vote on their favourite books. There will be ‘winners’ chosen who get a prize for their respective school. Who knows… we might be one of the winners!

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is releasing additional resources ahead of the January 1, 2018, launch of OHIP+: Children and Youth Pharmacare. In honour of Remembrance Day, Parkview will pay our respect through a ceremony to be held on Friday, November 10. The ceremony will for Junior Students will take place at 8:45am, Intermediate students will take place at 9:30 and Primary students will take place at 11:15am. This ceremony is somber in nature, there will be no applause. We welcome our community however we ask that you stay for the entire divisional ceremony.

Peace Tree Conference will be held on Thursday, November 9th. We look forward to our grade 5 representatives bringing back their new perspectives and learning to all of us here at Parkview.

HOLD THE DATE!! Our school council will be hosting a Chapters Evening on November 15th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. More details will follow next week.
