It’s that time of year again!!! It’s time for the Parkview P.S. Warm-InWinter Clothing Drive! From December 11th-19th, the Culture of Compassion Club will be hosting a clothing drive to support families in our communities throughout York Region. The Parkview community is invited to donate a package of new socks, a winter hat, and mittens/gloves in a ZipLock bag. Your help is appreciated as we WARM-IN-WINTER!!!”

LAST CALL!! Bag2School Event ~ Do you have clothing, shoes, linens, etc. that you aren’t using? Join us as we collect clean used clothing, belts, purses, stuffed toys, drapes, towels, bedding, and shoes tied together to recycle these items and keep them out of landfill! Parkview will be raising funds by collecting these items Dec 5 – Dec 11. We are paid for our collection. Donated items will be recycled at second hand stores or made into other items using recycled materials. Use any strong bags that you have at home to collect your items. Thanks for joining in to recycle and look after the Earth while raising funds for our school!

Our school operates a safe arrival program that requires that we check the whereabouts of all students who are absent each day. It is important that parents/guardians let us know if their child is going to be absent or late. We have a 24 hour absence reporting line. When you call in (905) 477-2172 option #1, please clearly state your child’s name and state their teacher’s name as well.

All visitors entering the building must use the front door and buzz the office. The doors will be opened by office staff only and should not be opened by parents/guardians or caregivers who are waiting in the front foyer for their children.

Lunches may be dropped off at the lunch table which is located in the main foyer. We are respectfully asking parents /guardians/ caregivers to support us with ensuring the safety all our children by exiting the building once lunches have been dropped off. If you require further communication with your child at lunch, you are welcome to wait directly outside of the office so that our front door remains closed and accessible. This will ensure the safety of all our students.

Students will enter the building and be dismissed from their exit doors (Primary, Junior and Intermediate). If there is a change in pick up routines, please inform the office immediately.
