Proud Parkview Moment: Student work completed by Grade 3 students is currently on display at the Unionville Public Library from May 7 – 21st. The poster work pertains to the Social Studies curriculum, specifically, pre-confederate and settler populations in Upper and Lower Canada at the turn of the 19th century. Please go and have a look!
Welcome to Kindergarten – Our Welcome to Kindergarten event will take place at Parkview PS on Wednesday, May 16th @ 4:30pm – 5:30pm. We welcome all of our new JK (Year 1) and SK (Year 2) students and their families to join us. Together, we will have an opportunity to enjoy some activities that parallel the Four Frames of the FDK curriculum. It is also an opportunity for our new parents to ask questions, connect with one another and meet our School Council representatives. We look forward to a lovely evening.
Calling All Bakers!!! The annual Parkview BBQ will once again be offering the fabulous and ever so successful Bake Sale on Wednesday, June 6th. This year we would like to offer cupcakes, cookies, muffins, pies, tarts, squares, brownies, rice krispy treats, cake pops or any other family favourite that you love to bake. Please email Henna Alvi if you can kindly volunteer to bake for this special event. All items should be dropped off in the lobby on the morning of June 6th and MUST BE NUT-FREE. Please label any containers that you wish to have returned. Thank you in advance for your time and generosity to make this event a special day for our Parkview families.
School Lunch Assistants play a significant role as members of our school team. The period of time that school assistants are utilized is one of the busiest time of the school day. The role of school assistants is to provide supervisory support to teaching staff during critical periods of the school day. Supervision duties include supervision of students during the lunch hour from 12:20-1:20pm. Last Week!! Hands Across the Nations is an organization that is committed to changing lives in a practical way. Considering their mission, the Parkview community is encouraged to donate used eyeglasses for those in need of eyewear. Please deliver all donations to the Main Office. Thank you for helping us to make a difference.
The Annual Parkview School Council BBQ & Fun Fair will take place on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm. Save the date!! The next meeting of the Parkview School Council BBQ Committee will be on Monday, May 14th from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at the school. Everyone is welcome to attend the Parkview School Council BBQ Committee meetings and help plan this fun event.
