We would like to extend a warm Thank You to all of our students, families, staff and community partners for such a great year. We have accomplished so much together and we look forward to continued growth and partnership in the coming school year. We wish all of our families a safe, fun, and relaxing summer holiday. We will welcome back all of our Panthers to Parkview on September 4th, 2018. Thank you to our school council for all their support this year. We look forward to another great year in September. Thank you to our staff for their endless efforts & commitment to student achievement & well-being.

Our final Parkview PRIDE assembly for this school year, will take place on June 27th, 2018. The Junior / Intermediate Assembly Grades 4-8 will begin at 8:45am and the Primary Assembly Grades K-3 will begin 9:40am. If you plan to attend, we ask that you remain for the entire assembly in order to support our Parkview Panthers for their efforts. Thank you to our staff for all their hard work in organizing our assemblies this year.

This Wednesday is our final Parkview spirit day. It is a Canada day spirit day, wear Canada clothing or red and white to earn points for your color house.

All Parkview library books are overdue. Please have a look around for any overdue books you may have at home and return them asap. If you have lost a library book, you may pay the replacement cost or you may donate book(s) if equivalent value.

All schools in the York Region District School Board are committed to improving student achievement and well-being. On Thursday, June 28, 2018 an early release day will take place to allow elementary teachers and support staff to take part in meetings during the afternoon of that day. These meetings will allow for school staff to engage in culminating activities regarding the review and revision of the School’s Improvement Plan as well as year-end and transition activities that support student success. As has been our practice in the past, students will attend school during the morning of Thursday, June 28, 2018 only. Students will be dismissed early that day at 11:30am. Arrangements will be made to ensure that students who are normally bused to and from school will receive transportation at this time. Parents/guardians whose children attend after school child care should make appropriate arrangements to address this change in schedule.

Lost and Found items are on display. Please have your child take home items. All items that remain and are not picked up with be donated on June 26th.

Pizza lunches, sub lunches and sushi lunches have come to an end. This week please remember to send a lunch with your child if he/she remains at school for lunch.

Hot Weather Reminders: As the temperatures rise and the sun shines, we would like to remind all of our families to send in water bottles, loose, comfortable clothing and a hat. Please support us in encouraging our students to stay in the shady areas of the yard during recess.

  • Canada Spirit Day – Wednesday, June 27th
  • Reports go home – Wednesday, June 27th
  • Early Dismissal @ 11:30am – Thursday, June 28th
  • PA Day – June 29th (No school)
