Parkview Happenings…

Monday is a PA Day. There is no school for your children. We look forward to welcoming back our Panthers on Tuesday morning.

Important Bus Safety Reminder – Please ensure you are checking your child’s bus number on schoolbuscity.com. Students MUST take their assigned bus to and from Parkview P.S. If you are unsure of your child’s bus number or if have any questions please refer to schoolbuscity.com

In order to comply with the Ministry of Education’s Class Size Compliance requirements, our kindergarten classes have been re-organized in order to meet requirements of the maximum class size allowed. We have been faced with the need to re-organize our classes as follows: Ms. Prasad’s grade 1 class has now become an SK/1. Parents/Guardians of any Senior Kindergarten students who were impacted by a classroom assignment change were contacted by phone by administration. We have had to create a combined SK/1 class in order to ensure that the class size remained in compliance with the Ministry requirements. Rest assured that in all of our classrooms, our teachers differentiate the instruction, assessment, and expectations based on each student’s individual strengths, needs and interests. Please note that no changes were required for any other grades. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding as we make every effort to meet provincial requirements. Staff are committed to a successful school year for each and every student at our school.

As there are often changes of personal information that occur over the summer months, we are asking that you review your child’s Student Registration Verification sheet that has been sent home. Please update your child’s personal and medical information as well and confirm that the parent contact and emergency contact information is current. It is important that we have your current contact information in case the school needs to reach you. Please return the Student Registration Verification sheet to your child’s homeroom teacher by Tuesday September 25th, 2018 Thank you for your help in keeping your child’s student records up to date.
