Parkview PS is pleased to share that we will continue using EDSBY to support communication between the board / school and our families. We will be utilizing the EDSBY platform to support Parent-Teacher Interview scheduling. This will be open to parents next week. We will send an email blast to all families followed by the invitation from Edsby. Reminder: Interviews will be open to Y2/SK – 8 families, while Y1/JK families will be invited in for an observation of learning.

From November 19th to 23th, Parkview will be participating in the Bag2School Used Clothing Collection Fundraiser again this year. Please consider donating unwanted men’s, women’s and children’s clothing items including footwear, outwear, towels, linens, belts, handbags and backpacks to help keep them out of the landfill while raising money for our school. Items can be brought into Parkview in any bag, box or bin you have at home. The more items we collect, the more money we raise!

Parkview will honour Remembrance Day on Friday, November 9th. All week, Parkview will be collecting donations to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families. If you would like donate, please send your donation in an envelope or ziploc bag marked ‘Poppy Donation’ with your child to school. We would like to remind all of our families that pictures and videos are not permitted during this assembly. We also request that you reiterate with your child(ren) that there is no applause during a Remembrance Day assembly. Families are welcome to join us at the following times:

The York Region District School Board recognizes the value that technology can bring to support student achievement and well-being while enhancing communication with families and the community at large. At Parkview Public School, we recognize that learning can be enhanced by technology and we have created opportunities to leverage digital tools that support teaching, learning and communication. Using technology and social media also gives educators and families an opportunity to teach students about the appropriate and responsible use of these tools. It has come to our attention that specific social media accounts have been created and continue to operate about our school community under our school name. These accounts are not owned or administered by Parkview Public School staff, nor is the messaging of these accounts reflective of our values here at Parkview Public School.
