Parkview Happenings…

We would like to thank our intermediate families that joined us on Friday morning for our Parent Tea. It was great to see so many parents / guardians engaged in the process of learning about high school transitions. As a reminder, the East high schools that will be open to transfers for the 2019 school year include: Bill Hogarth SS, Bur Oak SS, Markham District HS, Middlefield Collegiate Institute, Milliken Mills HS, Unionville HS.

Round 2 of Hot Lunch orders will be available through School Cash Online starting on Monday. The deadline to order is December 9th.  We will continue offering: MR. SUB Mondays, PASTA Tuesdays and  PIZZA Thursdays. All of the funds raised will be used to purchase resources and materials for our school. If a hot lunch day (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) happens to be a holiday, PA Day or deemed an inclement weather day, hot lunch will be delivered on an alternative date.

School bus service may be cancelled due to inclement weather, extreme temperatures and/or poor road conditions. In these cases, parents and students should develop alternate care/transportation arrangements. A bus cancellation message will be available at http://www.schoolbuscity.com, by calling 1-877-330-3001, or by following @YRDSB on Twitter. On an inclement weather day when buses are cancelled, the delivery of school lunches (Pizza, Pasta and Subs) will be canceled and rescheduled for another day. Students will need to bring a lunch on those days.
