Parkiew Happenings

Our used running shoe collection initiative was a big success.  We are proud to say that Parkview families donated 125 pairs of used shoes to Running Free’s Re-Use Shoe Program!   We wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all those who donated and to our School Council for all their hard work!

Please join us for our first School Council Fundraiser. It will take place at Chapters, 3175 Highway 7 on October 25th from 6-9pm. 20% of the total proceeds will go back to our Parkview students for learning materials! This is just a friendly reminder to parents/guardians that children must be supervised at all times.  We look forward to seeing you there!

We would like to announce our upcoming Bag2School Collection Fundraiser.  Parkview’s Annual Bag2School Used Clothing Collection Fundraiser will occur the week of November 11th.  Stay tuned for more details, however, it is never too early to start collecting used clothing around the house.

This is safety reminder that after much collaboration with Parkview’s School Council and the City of Markham, the park will be under construction this week.  Please remind your child(ren) to take extra caution particularly before and after the instructional day when there is no supervision and construction is taking place. Please be advised that students should not be arriving to school before 8:15am as there is no supervision.  Also, please remind your child(ren) not to cut through the parking lot.

It is Picture Day soon!  Please remember that Parkview’s Picture Day is on Wednesday, October 16th.

Monday, October 21st is a PA Day.  Please note that there is no school on this day.

On October 29, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Markham Theatre, Unionville High School will host the showcase and information night for students in Grade 8 and 90 who are interested in applying to the intensive Arts Program.  Please call 905-479-2787 to reserve tickets.
