Model Change Requests – closed September 17th

For families that requested a model change between face-to-face learning and remote learning.   The official change of class date will be Monday, September 27.

Changes to your child’s learning model will occur during the school reorganization process. Please note, as part of this process, your child may be assigned a new teacher/class, however this is not related to the learning model you selected for your child.

Health & Safety Measures

Parents/Guardians of Elementary students are required to complete the on-line self-assessment COVID-19 School and Child-Care Screening Tool (please click on Check for Symptoms Daily), prior to your child entering the school.

In order to keep Parkview safe for our students and staff it is important that all parents/guardians screen their child daily for Covid Symptoms. Your child must remain home if they display any Covid Symptoms and follow the screening tool next steps.

Parents MUST  complete the Confirmation Form, using their child’s GAPPS account login information.  This can also be accessed using the QR code below.

It is a shared responsibility to keep our school safe and we thank you for your understanding.

Parking Reminders

There is no parking in the staff parking lot.  Please park on the street where the city allows parking. Drive slowly. Please do not cut through our school parking lot in order to ensure everyone’s safety.

Lunch

Any lunch or pick up requests must be sent to the school office in advance. Please email Parkview.ps@yrdsb.ca

Allergies

We strive to be a NUT free school.  Do not send nuts or products that contain nuts (such as Nutella) to school, since we have many students who have serious allergies to nuts and nut products.

Absences/Lates

Parents/Guardians must report child absences or lates to the office for both face to face learners and remote learners.  This can be done online through Edsby.

Regular and punctual attendance affects school success and is expected of all students. It is important that students, families and school staff work together to ensure regular attendance.  You are expected to notify the school as soon as possible if your child will be absent or late.   

Remote Learning

Remote learning is only accessible for students who have requested online learning or are at home for isolation mandates. Families cannot transition back and forth.
