Monday, October 11, 2021 – Thanksgiving Day – No School

Families have received a message from the Board about a new upcoming Professional Learning Day for staff.  On Friday, October 15, school staff will engage in professional learning on the hybrid model. Schools will be closed to students on Friday, October 15 . Please do not send your child to school. Asynchronous (not live) learning activities will be provided to students in order to support their continued learning.

Curriculum Night – October 28th 

We are excited to announce that Curriculum Night will be on Thursday, October 28, 2021.  Presentations will either be a virtual meeting or a pre-recorded presentation.  Additional information will be shared by classroom teachers closer to the date.

Thank you to families that have already returned their Index verification cards to the school.  If you have not already done so, please return it to the school as soon as possible. 

School Yard Safety

Just a reminder that students should not arrive at school before 8:15 am.  There is no supervision before 8:15 am.  Once you have dropped off your child(ren) please say goodbye and leave promptly, to avoid congregating on school property.  Also please remind your child(ren) that they should head straight home once dismissed at the end of the school day.  

Terry Fox Run

In-person students participated in our school Terry Fox Run today. To date, we have raised $ 720 to help with cancer research.  Thank you to all of the families who have already donated.  If you have not had a chance to donate as yet, we will continue to collect donations up to October 15th.  All donations can be made at http://www.terryfox.ca/ParkviewPSUnionville. 

School Council Meeting

Thank you to all of the parents and guardians that joined us for our first School Council meeting of the 2021-2022 School Year.  It was wonderful to see so many families attend.  We would like to congratulate our School Council Executive team:
