Happy Mother’s Day to those who are celebrating. Today, we honour all the dedicated mothers, aunts, grandmothers, caregivers and caring adults who touch our lives in so many ways.  Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

This week at Parkview, the Grade 8s will begin their week at Camp Muskoka!  Students will be leaving Monday morning and returning Wednesday afternoon. Have a great trip! If parents/guardians of grade 8 students would like to pick up their child’s hot lunch on Monday or Tuesday since their child will be at Camp Muskoka – it can be picked up between 12:30 to 2:30.

On Friday, our students will be practicing healthy habits while raising money and awareness for Heart and Stroke research by participating in Jump Rope for Heart!  Please read the following message from Parkview Students:

Our school is taking part once again in the Heart & Stroke Jump Rope for Heart event this year on Friday May, 19 2023 (our 33rd year at Parkview). Students participate in a variety of physical activities (e.g., skipping, jumping). Leading up to our event day, kids are encouraged to raise funds. Through this, students will earn thank you prizes for their individual fundraising efforts.

Students learn the importance of giving back as they collect donations to help fund critical research that saves lives, prevents heart disease and stroke, and supports survivors and their families.

So far we have raised just over $1000 and are at 50% of our goal.

Join our school and help Heart and Stroke save lives by jump-starting our fundraising. Here’s is the link to the Parkview Page:

Thank you for your support, Parkview Students

A Message from YRDSB:

Dear families,

As you may know, York Region District School Board is currently engaging students in the Every Student Counts Survey

On April 24, 2023, families received an email notifying them that the survey period is open. Families of students in Kindergarten-Grade 3 will have now received an invitation letter from their school, which includes a survey link and survey code to complete the survey at home.

We thank everyone who has already completed the survey. We have made the decision to extend the survey deadline. If you have not yet completed the survey, please consider doing so by May 19, 2023. We appreciate you taking the time to help us better understand our students and their experiences in school.

If you didn’t receive the survey invitation letter or have misplaced it, please contact your child’s school.
